Whatever Wednesday: Grilled Cheese!

Hello Posse!

I have to say, I was so excited to share a Puppy Chow recipe in Monday's blog that I totally forgot that it was National Grilled Cheese Day! There is no way I can just let such a celebration worthy National Day pass without sharing a few recipes with you.

To begin we have to go to Spend with Pennies, The Best Grilled Cheese Sandwich (<--- click for recipe) This is the classic grilled cheese recipe with which I think most people grew up. We used butter instead of mayonnaise, but everything else is the same. Personally. I have always liked a little mustard on mine.

But why just stop as the classic grilled cheese sandwich when there are so many amazing variations to try? One of the most interesting versions I have found and plan to try here this week is from Delish, Grilled Cheese Bombs (<--- click for recipe)

These tasty treats use a premade dough so it cuts your prep time quite a bit and leaves you all that much more time to enjoy the melty, cheesy goodness.

Now most people have at least heard of the classic grilled cheese tomato soup combo, but what about an all in one soup and sandwich bake?

For this recipe we go back to Delish for their incredible Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup Bake. (<--- click for recipe) This twist really takes the old classic pairing up several notches. It only take a few minutes to prep and about 30 minutes to bake and you have a wonderful all in one meal.

Now what about a grilled cheese sandwich for dessert? It might sound crazy, but when you see the recipe from Driscolls, for their Chocolate Raspberry Dessert Grilled Cheese (<--- click for recipe), you will never again question if a grilled cheese sandwich can be a dessert.

.

This chocolate, raspberry, mascarpone delight will have to dreaming of National Grilled Cheese day and wishing it was everyday. Once you try it, you will wonder why you never tried sweet grilled cheese creations before.

I hope you find at least one recipe here that peaks your interest. And of course you all know that nothing goes better on lazy day than a good snack and a great book. If you need a suggestion for a great read, check out the Into the West Saga Serial books. (<--- click for books) They go great with grilled cheese or any other snacks for that matter.

So long for now, posse.

Enjoy,

Dianne
