Hello, Posse!
I hope you are all having a wonderful day filled with family, good food, and lots of fun. Sorry I had to skip yesterday's blog but I could not get my migraine to let up at all. I was still dragging this morning and did not actually get past the headache until about noon today. But at least it is finally gone.
Pedro and I are having a little celebration here with just us and Shaggy. I was able to find a small turkey while I was out running around town on Monday going to doctors appointments. It was just 2.5 pounds so it's perfect for just Pedro and Shaggy to enjoy. I found a new recipe for a vegetarian roast I am trying for me. It seems pretty good from the little taste test I tried after it came out of the oven so we will see. It was easier than most of these kinds of recipes I have tried so if it turns out good I think I will have my "go to" recipe for holidays since I can not find Tofuky roasts here anymore in Germany. I miss those.
I have some news. I'm not sure yet if I think it is bad news or not, because I think it could turn out to be good in the end. I am going to push back the release of part seven, Into the West: Family Ties. There has just been too much going on here with work and health and other things. I have not been able to get and stay focused enough to make decent headway on the book. What I have written is good (in my opinion anyway). I'm very happy with it, but I am not even finished with the first chapter. I would have to write about a chapter a day to get this done and be able to get it out to you all by Christmas and that is just too much to write in a short time. I could do it, but the story would really suffer and I will not do that. This last one needs to be right because it wraps everything up.
What I am going to do is write a Christmas story that is a companion piece to the Into the West Saga Serial and I will be giving it away to you all with the puzzle fun book this Christmas. It will go out to everyone on my mailing list as a free novella. So if you want this free book make sure to join my mailing list before December 22nd. The Christmas story will have spoilers for what is coming in part seven so if you do not want to know anything about the next book, don't read the Christmas story.
