Book Banter EP 22: DJ Jamison, Part 2

Hello My Happy People,

I have to tell you, I am incredibly pumped after the interviews I have has recently with my friends DJ Jamison and Allie Alvis. These two women have created incredible careers for themselves and honestly it gives me hope that eventually I will find my way to achieving my own dreams and goals as a writer.

Have we got a podcast for you today!

I posted the first half of DJs interview last Wednesday, July 6th. It is live now. If you missed that and still want to check that out, you can find it on our website or your favorite podcast hosting service. In today's episode, we have part two of our interview. DJ reads from one of her books, Two Truths and a Lyle. This book is part of a free book promotion until the end of the year. You can find links for her book and the whole promotion below. If you check out her Amazon Author page you will see a number of her titles have more than 500 reviews and most carry a 4.3/5 rating on Amazon. Her books are very well received by readers. If you like romance and are looking for a new author, you really should check her out.

Allie's interview will go live Wednesday July 20th and 27th. I could have talked to her for hours if she would have let me. She has such an incredible wealth of knowledge about books, their history, publications and how they were created, their preservation and so much more. If you have any interest in such things, I highly suggest you check out her webpage and her social media. She has written some amazing articles that are more than worth the time it takes to sit and read them. Fascinating is the first word that comes to my mind when I think of her published works.

Believe it or not, I have been writing on my own WIP (work in progress), Into the West: Family Ties. It is still coming along a bit slower than I had hoped, but it is coming along. The story is slowly unfolding for me and I am moving ahead bit by bit. I still hope to have it ready to publish by the end of the month. P.R. has to go to the office two days next week so I will have the house to myself to write. P.R. is also going on a business trip soon so I will not have to think about making meals or keep chores done on certain days so we stay on our schedules.

Basically, I am envisioning that week probably be a throwback to when I was a teenager again and mom and dad left for a few days and left me with spending money.

I will likely live on rice and veggie chik'n nuggets for the week and just focus on finishing the book with a few breaks to play Fortnite (and walk Shaggy, of course!). I almost have the Darth Vader skin so I have to work in a few games before this season ends. I am so obsessed with getting that right now. I do have the Imperial March emote so now matter what happens, I'm happy.

I plan to have another sneak peek for what I have been writing sometime this week (if I don't forget. I've been rather absent minded lately). So be on the lookout for that. I'm also looking to bring you more great interviews very soon! I have a friend who has a business teaching others to create great video promos for their businesses, a new indie Sci-Fi author who just published her first book, and a librarian who works in the children's section of a public library. I am sure she will have some great tips on how to get children excited about reading.

I have so many great things in the works and I cannot wait to share it all with you! If you love books like we do, why not subscribe to our mailing list so you never miss out on any of the fun!

Have a great week!

Now, go forth and be happy!

Dianne
