Friday Funnies: Whataya Mean It's Not Friday?

Hello My Happy People,

I had such an amazing interview for Book Banter with Dianne Burckhardt yesterday that I just kind of lost track of everything else I was supposed to do. I got up this morning with a feeling I had forgotten something, turns out it was this blog! I hope your weekend has already started off great and this Friday Funnies blog (Saturday edition) will just make it that much better!

Just a side note before we get to the funnies, I am having such an amazing season two of Book Banter with Dianne Burckhardt. I have been blessed with some of the most incredible author guests I could ever hope to meet. This entire season has been a dream come true so far and more great authors are coming!

Right now, I have part one streaming of a two part interview with award-winning horror author Nzondi (pronounced N-zohn-dee). He was so much fun to talk to! Since moving to Europe, I don't often get to chat with new people who have so many of the same childhood references I do. While there are Americans living in my area, most of the American expats around me are quite a bit younger. I don't think any of them have even heard of the Late Late Show that used to be on TV let alone grew up watching them. Talking with Nzondi was a total blast from the past for me!

The first part of Nzondi's interview is live now and you can listen to it by clicking on the purple microphone below in this blog. Part two, seen in the promo photo on the right, will broadcast next Wednesday May 24th, 2023. We talk about his coming book release, his TV projects, his music, and his connection to the Star Wars franchise. You do not want to miss that!

Wednesday May 31st you get to meet Benecia Ponder. It was such a delight to speak with her. Benecia is a bestselling author and an author coach. She has devoted herself to helping other authors bring their messages to readers and has helped many of those authors become bestsellers as well. If you have a book idea but are unsure of where to start to achieve your dream, you should check out Benecia Ponder and her author coaching services.

Coming June 7th, I have my first children's picture book author, Diann Floyd Boehm. She is not only a best selling author but she is an educator, speaker, and a world traveler! We had such a great conversation and found we are both midwest girls, have the same passion for traveling to new places and meeting people from all walks of life, and we both love doing different voices when reading books to kids.

So many great authors have already been on season two of our podcast, Book Banter with Dianne Burckhardt, and many more are coming! If you love books like we do, you will not want to miss a single episode. You can subscribe to our book podcast on your favorite podcast streaming service or on our own host site at BookBanter.Buzzsprout.com.

Don't wait, go listen now! Well ... after you check out the funnies for today.

Seeing as how I was so forgetful yesterday (and personally suffer from short term memory loss issues), this seems like a good time for jokes about forgetfulness.

So let's get on with the JOKES!! Have a great weekend people!

Enjoy,

Dianne

Wife: Sweetie, I think I have a serious memory loss problem.

Husband: Hmm.. maybe you should talk to a doctor?

Wife: Talk to a doctor about what?

Woman: I'm sorry, I forgot what I came here for?

Speaker: Well ... I'm giving a talk on short term memory loss here today.

Doctor: How long have you had a problem short-term memory loss?

Patient: For as long as I can remember.

Q: What's good about telling the same joke over and over to someone with memory loss?

A: They always laugh like they are hearing it for the first time.

Doctor: I have good news and bad news about your condition. The bad news is, you have short-term memory loss.

Patient: Oh no, Doctor. What’s the bad news?

Husband: I think my bartender is becoming rather forgetful.

Wife: Why do you say that?

Husband: He can remember my first name is "Al," but I have no idea how he keeps mixing up "Smith" with "Coholic".

Q: What did the forgetful skydiver say after he jumped out of the airplane?

A: Aw chute!

And last but not least . . .

Q: When you’re old, what is considered "getting lucky"?

A: When you walk into a room and remember exactly why you went in there!
