Time for Escape

I feel as if I'm in shock. I never really believed there was a chance that Trump could end up being president of the United States. I am heartsick.

Now more than every I feel the need to bury myself in my writing. The idea of becoming entrenched in a world of my own creating is much more appealing than watching the disaster that has happened to our nation.

So now my world is the Kansas territory a few short years before it gained statehood. The lives of Elizabeth and Conner MacBride will be my focus while I come to grips with what this election says about Americans and the state of our nation. God help us all.
