Some interviews are about a book. Others become conversations about the stories, traditions, and people that shape the person who wrote it. My conversation with Southern Gothic author Robert Gwaltney was definitely the latter.

Robert joins me to talk about his latest novel, Sing Down the Moon, the Southern folklore and traditions woven into his storytelling, and the community of writers who have helped shape his journey. We also get into bottle trees, Southern sweet tea, the importance of lifting up other authors, and what happens when I give Five Quick Questions a distinctly Southern twist.
